February 24, 1940 — June 7, 2026

Tom Weatherill, 86, of Council Bluffs, lowa, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, ingenuity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
Born on February 24, 1940, Tom lived a life marked by integrity, kindness, and a strong work ethic. He was known for his ability to solve any problem, fix almost anything, and lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Whether family, friends, or neighbors called on him for assistance, Tom was always willing to share his talents and time.
Tom dedicated 40 years of his professional life to Precision Games/Bingo King, where he worked as a Design Engineer. His creativity, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of colleagues throughout his career. Following his retirement, he partnered with his son, Dan, to own and operate Weatherill Machine for five years, continuing to do the work he loved.
Outside of work, Tom found great joy in being outdoors. He took pride in maintaining a beautifully mowed lawn and could often be found enjoying nature whenever he had the chance. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing, where he appreciated the peace of the water and the opportunity to spend time with family and friends.
Above all else, Tom cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose love and guidance will be deeply missed.
Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kate Weatherill; his daughter, Barbara Hansen; and his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Wulff and her husband, David; his son, Dan Weatherill and his wife, Michelle; his brother, Fred Weatherill; his sisters, Sally Brown and her husband, Bill, and Judy Ritter. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Those who knew Tom will remember his mechanical talents, his willingness to help with any project, his quiet strength, and the pride he took in caring for his family and home. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the things he built, and the many lives he touched.
Though he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort in the memories they shared and in knowing that his love will remain with them always. Per Tom's wishes, a private cremation will take place with no formal services.
