Troy Oles

Troy Douglas Harle Oles, age 62, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, at UNMC in Omaha, Nebraska, surrounded by the love and comfort of family and friends.

Troy was born on September 12, 1963, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to the late Jerry Oles and Dawn (Brown) Oles Grason. He was a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1981. Following graduation, Troy honorably served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his strong sense of duty and pride.

After his military service, Troy built a dedicated career with Union Pacific Railroad, where he worked for the past 15 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and loyalty—qualities that carried through every part of his life.

In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his infant son, Marcus Alexander Oles, whom he carried in his heart always.

Troy leaves behind his loving wife, Christina Oles; his sister, Jeri Ann Pearson; and his cherished niece and nephews, Jamie Pearson, Eric Oles (Frances “Frankie”), and Corey Pearson (Chrissy). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends who will forever remember his kindness, strength, and the quiet care he showed to those he loved.

Troy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
