Vernon Lake

Vernon Lake, age 83, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2021.

He was born December 16, 1937 to Thomas and Ethel (Swigart) Lake in McClelland, IA. He attended Underwood High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated a repo business for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Eileen Opitz and Melvin Lake.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Lake; children, Michelle (Michael) Petersen, Amy Lake and Mindy (Kyle) Bohannon; grandchildren, Brent Lake, Kaylee Witt, Brody Fisher, Baylie Bohannon and Zale Bohannon.

Open viewing and visitation without family present will be held from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Funeral service and burial will be private.
