Wanda Jean Richards-Strong

Wanda Jean Richards-Strong, 52, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at St Mary Healthcare and Rehab Center in Davenport. Wanda was born September 19, 1962 in St. Louis, MO. She was a wonderful mother who loved spending time with her family; her grandchildren were her whole world. She had a passion for cooking and cooking for her family was one of the things Wanda loved the most. She had a competitive nature and loved a good challenge whether it be a game of Yahtzee, Scrabble or yard-darts. She put the needs of everyone else above her own and had an open-door reputation for accepting anyone who walked through her door, into the family. For being such a tiny little thing, she had such a big personality and a big heart. She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan. She loved her music. Survivors include her loving children: son, Aarron Lassek and his son, D'Angelo; daughter, Carley Lassek and her sons: Kole and Klae; daughter, Brenna and Gavin Blasi and their son, Gavin Jr and daughter, Ravynn; daughter, Denyse Lassek and Landau Deluna and their daughter, Anhayla and son, Landau Jr.; son, Jamie Vega; all of Omaha, NE Her mother, Sue Dalhauser preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. The family will direct memorials.
