Wanda M. Denton

Wanda M. Denton, age 95, of Council Bluffs, passed away June 15, 2023.

She was born near Treynor, Iowa on August 14, 1927, to the late Arthur and Hattie (Guttau) Eyberg. Wanda attended Treynor schools and graduated with the class of 1946. She worked at Giant Manufacturing, then opened her own print shop called Denton Duplicating on Harney Street in Omaha in the 1950-1960's. She then worked for Peet's Feed in Council Bluffs and Corp. of Engineers in the print shops. Wanda later worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and retired in 1992. She volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for several years and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Bane and Verneta Liddell; and brothers, Dean Eyberg and Hugo Eyberg.

Wanda is survived by sons, Rick (Jane) Denton of Council Bluffs and Randy (Beth) Denton of Crescent; and daughter, Rhonda Bockenstedt of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, June 19, 2023. Interment will be in the Zion Congregational Cemetery in Treynor, Iowa.

Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
