William Gray, Sr.

William E. Gray, Sr. passed away March 3, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 76 years. He was born June 17, 1946 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Bill was a Navy Veteran serving on the USS Alamo and enjoyed attending their annual reunion. He was a hunter, avid bicyclist riding in RAGBRAI for many years and a former member of the Pott Co Pedalers. He retired from Jennie Edmundson Hospital and worked many years at Blue Cross & Blue Shield.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, John Gray and Dolores Huff; brothers Robert Gray, Richard Gray, and Daniel Gray; and sister Dianna Shely.

He is survived by his children Patty Gray-Lyons, William Gray, Jr., and Corina Gray; grandchildren Riki Gray, Briann Gray, Elizabeth Gray, Johnathon Gray, Hallie Gray, Matthew Gray, and Fina Lyons; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers Allen (Marcella) Gray, Michael Gray, and Jerry (Mindy) Gray; sister Joyce Gray; significant other, Anne Patten; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

VISITATION Thursday, March 9, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with MEMORIAL SERVICE at 11:30 a.m. at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home. 

Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
