William L. "Bill" Hempel, age 57, passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by his family on April 24, 2026.
He was born June 9, 1968, to the late Donald and Dixie (Michael) Hempel in Council Bluffs, IA. .
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by is brother, Donald Hempel Jr.
Bill is survived by his wife of over 38 years, Christine "Chris" Hempel; children, Jeff Hempel (Bettany), Megan Jones (Tony), and Emma; siblings, Lesa Higgins (Mike), Alan Hempel, and Tammy Wagman; grandchildren, Bella, Braxton, Chelsea, and Magnolia; in-laws, George & Nancy Sibert; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bill's wish was to be cremated and no services.
